Her Philosophy
Attma Shuddhi is built on one belief: when you empower someone, they empower you back. Healing, growth, and shared purpose are the heartbeat of the journey.
Attma Shuddhi was born not just as a yoga initiative, but as a deeply personal journey of healing, resilience, and purpose.
I am Sharranya, fondly called Sara, the founder of Attma Shuddhi. Before stepping into yoga professionally, I spent around eight years in the corporate sector, gaining discipline, perspective, and valuable life experience.
Life took a transformative turn during one of my most difficult phases: postpartum depression. In search of balance and healing, I turned to yoga. What began as a personal coping mechanism slowly became a powerful practice that helped me regain my mental and emotional well-being.
As I experienced the impact of yoga firsthand, one thought stayed with me: if this could help me, it could help countless others navigating similar struggles. That realization became the foundation of Attma Shuddhi.
Driven by this purpose, I completed a Master’s degree in Yoga Science along with a 500-hour certification from Yoga Alliance International, building a foundation that combines scientific understanding with deep empathy.
I began teaching from home with just five students. What started as something small gradually grew into a thriving community built over 8 years and counting, touching 700+ lives across India and reaching international learners as well.
One of the defining chapters in this journey came during the COVID-19 pandemic. As the world moved online, so did we, and that shift opened the door to a much wider global community.
Another major milestone has been the growth of our teaching family. What began as a single-teacher initiative has evolved into a space where seven teachers, three past and four current, have been mentored, groomed, and recognized under Attma Shuddhi.
At its core, Attma Shuddhi is not only about physical health or personal transformation. It is about empowering people to heal, grow, and even build meaningful careers through yoga. When you empower someone, they empower you back, and that shared growth is the heart of everything we do.

2+ years teaching experience
My journey with yoga began as a way to improve my health and find inner peace. Over time, it became much more than just physical exercise—it helped me build mental strength, reduce stress, and develop a deeper connection with myself. Inspired by these changes, I pursued a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course, which gave me a strong foundation in yoga practice. To further enhance my ability to help others, I also completed a Therapy Yoga Teacher Course, focusing on healing and holistic well-being. Becoming a yoga teacher has been truly transformative. It has made me more confident, patient, and compassionate. Yoga has not only changed my lifestyle but has given my life a meaningful purpose—to guide and inspire others towards a healthier and more balanced life.
5+ years teaching experience
(200 -Hrs. Yoga Alliance International) My yoga journey began 8 years ago with Attma Shuddhi, during a time when I was navigating the pressures of a demanding corporate career that resulted in spinal issues and anxiety. What started as a means of healing soon evolved into a deeply fulfilling and transformative practice. Motivated by its impact on my physical and mental well-being, I went on to become a certified yoga teacher. For me, yoga is a holistic practice that fosters strength, balance, and inner peace. Each session on the mat reinforces a sense of discipline, awareness, and calm. As a yoga instructor, my objective is to share this practice with a wider community—helping individuals not only improve their physical fitness but also cultivate a healthy, balanced mind
0+ years teaching experience
I began my yoga journey as a dedicated student 7 years ago and has practiced consistently ever since. After completing 200-hour yoga training, I now excel as an instructor, specializing in therapeutic yoga tailored for senior citizens. I personally feel YOGA address real-life challenges, making yoga a lifelong passion rather than a casual/routine thing. Therapy yoga drew me for its healing power such as pain relief, emotional balance, keeping me fit etc. Especially for seniors it’s the need of the hour.
